Dr. Roozbeh Ghavami, MD, internal medicine and aesthetic physician at PhillyMedClub in Philadelphia

Dr. Roozbeh Ghavami

MD, Internal Medicine · Adjunct Faculty, Cooper University Hospital · 10+ Years in Practice

A Temple University graduate, Dr. Ghavami holds a master’s degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and an MBA from Davenport University. He earned his medical degree at St. Martinus University Faculty of Medicine, completed his clinical studies at the University of Maryland, and finished his residency in internal medicine at Capital Health System in New Jersey. He is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has practiced for more than ten years.

He is adjunct faculty in medicine at Cooper University Hospital, where he teaches internal medicine residents. The residents have twice voted him the Golden Apple award for clinical teaching, and in 2024 he received Cooper’s Eric Kupersmith Award for outstanding patient care and teamwork. He ranks in the top 5 percent of Press Ganey patient satisfaction scores. His training spans injectables, energy-based devices, and regenerative medicine, and his philosophy is grounded in one principle: treating the whole patient, not just the surface.

Patients consistently describe results as natural-looking, precisely executed, and thoughtfully planned. He is known for listening carefully, never overselling, and delivering outcomes that enhance — rather than alter — natural features.

Martha Villarin, Advanced Practice Nurse at PhillyMedClub in Philadelphia

Martha Villarin

Advanced Practice Nurse (APN)

Martha is a partner in PhillyMedClub and was part of building the practice from the beginning. She is an advanced practice nurse specializing in aesthetic medicine, and patients book with her for injectables, Morpheus8 and other non-surgical treatments.

She earned a BS in biology from Temple University in 2009 and completed an accelerated one-year BSN at Drexel University in 2012. She returned to Drexel for her MSN in 2020 and is licensed as a family nurse practitioner.

Her approach mirrors the practice philosophy: understand the patient first, recommend only what serves them, and deliver results that look natural. Patients who see Martha consistently describe feeling heard, comfortable and unhurried.

She practices in collaboration with Dr. Ghavami and Dr. Raneiro. For patients who would rather be treated by a woman, she is the reason that choice exists here rather than somewhere else.

What we stand for

Our

values

Physician-performed, by the provider you choose

Injectables, regenerative procedures and microneedling are performed by Dr. Ghavami or Dr. Raneiro — the provider you select at booking is the provider who treats you. A physician is on site whenever we are treating, not a medical director signing protocols from another state. Laser hair removal, facials and peels are performed by our licensed medical aestheticians.

The right treatment — even when it isn't ours

Our range is wide enough that the first question can be what a concern actually needs, rather than which of two or three services can be aimed at it. When an examination points somewhere we don't treat, we say so and refer.

No upselling

Multiple independent patient reviews mention this unprompted. We recommend only what you actually need — because the foundation of any good medical relationship is trust, not a sales quota.

Integrated care

Aesthetics, primary care, and regenerative medicine under one roof. You shouldn't need three different practices to feel and look your best. We built one that does it all.

Inclusive by design

Our services, consultations, and clinical approach are built for all skin types, all genders, and all aesthetic goals. You belong here regardless of where you're starting from or what you're working toward.

Sometimes the right treatment isn't one we offer

Heaviness in the upper eyelid is often skin, not volume. When it is, filler makes it worse — the referral is an oculoplastic evaluation, and we name where: Wills Eye Institute, or the oculoplastic service at Penn. The same logic applies to facial laxity that has passed what energy devices can reach; that is a conversation with a board-certified plastic or facial plastic surgeon, not a longer series with us.
We do not perform liquid rhinoplasty — filler in the nose carries a vascular risk we are not willing to accept for a cosmetic result. We do not inject PRP into hips, because we cannot image that joint properly and an injection placed by landmark alone is a guess. And visible leg veins are frequently a surface sign of venous disease, which needs a duplex ultrasound and a vein specialist before anyone treats the appearance.
None of this costs us anything we would rather keep. Nobody here is paid on treatment sales, so a recommendation to go elsewhere carries no penalty. That is the point: the recommendation isn't limited by what we sell.
